hey, it’s a style-off: the savasana wrap

The heylululemon community rallied together to select the design making a return One More Time, and we have now reached the final chapter in telling the story of the chosen piece, the Savasana Wrap, from Sketchpad to Shelf.
We asked our Brand Stylist Elim who’s based right here in Vancouver, and our Junior Designer Tabitha who’s Down Under, to show us how they’d rock the Savasana Wrap in the sweet spring or summer’s heat, or take it through fall to the cool winter days. (Visual inspiration is next, with their full styling tips at the bottom!)
What are you wearing with the Savasana Wrap and for where?
Elim: A Free To Be Bra ,Refresh Racer Tank , and vintage denim shorts for a weekend brunch date before yoga. Birkenstocks are easy on/off footwear to quickly get me off the sidewalks and onto my mat. My mat and Wunder Unders are rolled up in the Drishti Yoga Tote .
Tabitha: Wearing the High Times Crop with the Noir Bra, having just come from a Saturday morning hot yoga class. It’s the perfect throw over—add a belt, some boots and a hat and all of a sudden you have a chic casual cozy weekend outfit that’s perfect for meeting friends for brunch, heading to the market and of course some serious shopping.
Why is the Savasana Wrap great for the season you’re currently in?
Elim: Not all spring and summer days are made the same. This piece is both lightweight and cozy on the days that are a little bit balmy and you want a longer layer to hug around your body. Also, this style is awesome for travel. This is a blanket with sleeves. You’re welcome.
Tabitha: For winter it’s like a chic blanket with arm holes that you can wear however you want depending on your mood. You can wear it open for a beautiful drapey effect, snapped together up to your chin for a fantastic snuggle party, or throw on a belt if you want to show some shape. It’s also not so bulky that you can’t layer a heavier winter coat on top of it for those particularly chilly days.
What is your favourite feature of the Savasana Wrap?
Elim:I like how the silhouette can change by adding a belt, buttoning up the neck or leaving it all loose to drape at will.
Tabitha: The purple ombre on the inner lining in the Dune colour. Anytime you have sneaky details on the inside or in a secret place and you can tell the product is beautiful inside as well as out. It somehow has the power to make you feel even more fabulous when wearing it.
Elim is a lover of all things fashion. When she isn’t eyeballs deep in our stretchy style as our Brand Stylist, she can be found training for her first half marathon, reading the latest issue of Porter and exploring whatever life hands over. Most of it is documented and can be found on Instagram.
