wanderlust whistler 2013
posted: July 19, 2013
Meet Alex Mazzerole, a yoga ambassador at our Robson Street store in our beautiful hometown of Vancouver BC. We are so proud of the work Alex is up to in our community – she’s the founder of Girlvana Yoga, which is all about empowering young teenage girls to become fully expressed heartfelt leaders.
Three years ago I was so lucky to attend Wanderlust Festival in Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is beautiful – just stunning. But there’s no place like home. I am so excited to experience Wanderlust Whistler, practically in my own backyard (or a few hours away).
So many thing to be excited for – here’s a few:
We’re talking Erin Anderson, Kristen Campbell, Meghan Currie, Danielle Mika Nagel, Christine Price Clark and Suzanne Slocom-Gori. These women are my teachers, absolute goddesses and have truly paved the way for us younger gals to step into our own power. I am so thrilled that they get to rep B.C and share their gifts with the world. Be sure to sign up for each and everyone of their classes!

two words: Shiva. Rae.
She had me at Teach Me How to Dougie. During my first workshop with this powerful, world-renowned teacher she played the popular radio hip-hop hit.
Sold. We were instructed to dance around the room and get free – this is my kinda girl.
I still play the song every now and again in my power classes to motive students through tough ab work. Beyond that, she is truly a powerhouse of deep wisdom and attunement. I am thrilled to have another opportunity to learn from her.
A Canadian gal, lululemon ambassador and the owner of Misfit Studio – I’m talking about the one and only Amber Joliat. I had the pleasure of meeting her along with one of my fave NYC teachers, Dana Flynn in one of my class a few years ago.
I totally have a twitter and instagram crush on Amber. She truly embodies this divine feminine-rockstar energy. I am super excited about her Fusion Flow class. I love when teachers are innovative with fusing different movement styles, music and dance together. Right up my alley.
don’t forget about the men
Ron Stryker’s book, “The Four Desires” was a huge game changer for me and was one of the pushes I needed to start Girlvana Yoga. It’s always exciting to see someone in the flesh after reading their words, especially if they have made a big impact on you. With a talk like Sex, Drugs, Gurus, and Everything Else Yoga, it’s sure to be equally enlightening and entertaining.
I cannot wait to be surrounded by some of my best friends, new friends and an incredible community of happy people. To be in the natural glory that is Whistler, taking in the sights and sounds of Wanderlust with rad people, does it get better than that?
I cannot wait to unroll my mat with you. I’ll be spreading moments of fun and inspiration all weekend long with @lululemonlive. Send me a tweet, say hi, or join me for a class.
